Easter Sunrise

As an act of hospitality, members of TUCC decided to head to Lake Nockamixon before the 6 AM service to hand out warm coffee to people as they worshipped the risen Lord.  We enjoyed our time with our community churches and it was so meaningful to worship with 325 other people.  We raised nearly $100 for FISH in Perkasie.  God used the event and multiplied the gifts of God’s people to do great work! He is Risen Indeed!!

Easter Outreach

Tinicum answered the call to servanthood and provided an abundance of gifts and resources for a single mother in our area this Easter.  From clothes, sneakers, sippy cups, and diapers to help paying bills, to fun Easter baskets and surprises, the church stepped up to be the church.  Thank you to all who gave!IMG_1543

Providing nourishment abroad

TUCC will be partnering with the Mennonite Central Committee in their meat canning operation the week of April 2. Contact Stephanie or Carl Shannon if you would like to participate.

Every year MCC’s Mobile Meat Canner travels across the United States and Canada meeting volunteers who prepare cans of turkey, beef, chicken and pork to be sent around the world. Over 30,000 people a year volunteer to fill, weigh, wash and label every can.
The finished cans are shipped to our partners, providing important nutrients when meat is hard to purchase.
For example, in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK, or North Korea), where meat is scarce, MCC shares canned meat with our partners to supplement meals for children as well as patients with tuberculosis or hepatitis.
579,643 pounds of canned meat shipped last year to Burundi, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea), Ukraine and the U.S.

30 lbs!

Frenchtown Presbyterian church Youth were doing a collection of basic necessities for homeless persons. The call went out to the TUCC community and in no time, we collected 30 lbs of toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, snacks and more to be put into bags to distribute. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to partner and to serve.

February 25th, 2018

IMG_1131Today in worship we focused on John 3:17 — that God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save it.  What does it mean to look at the world with the eyes of God and see people and communities that he loves and wants to save.  One by one we lifted up the names of the 17 who died in Parkland, Florida and we begged God to give us eyes to see the world as God does.

Lent: A World Worth Saving

Join us this lent as we journey through George Hovaness Donigian’s book A World Worth Saving. In this study we will find ways to engage the world in a tangible way and learn how we are a part of God’s plan for harmony in creation. Through prayer and contemplation we will engage in meaningful action that involves praying through the news, entering into food injustice and refusing to live into the narrative of guilt. This study proves to be challenging and inspiring. 17805095
